We are seeking a full time motivated and enthusiastic Construction Accountant to join our team. The position reports to the Controller and Ownership, however interfaces with numerous contacts within and outside of the company, including lenders, investors, attorneys, CPAs and others on various aspects of the process.
Must be dedicated with a strong sense of urgency, be intelligent and extremely detail oriented, accurate, able to multitask and prioritize, be dependable and responsible, highly organized and efficient, have excellent computer skills, and possess a strong desire to learn.
The Construction Accountant is responsible for completing and submitting draws for development projects. This includes complete accountability for projects, contract monitoring, change orders, compliance monitoring, collecting and submitting lien releases, budgets, reconciliations, timely payment processing, equity installments and due diligence, understanding of insurance certificates, and various reporting and compliance.
2 years' construction draw accounting experience preferred; Quickbooks experience necessary; Microsoft Office (especially Excel) proficiency; Strong organizational skills; Attention to detail; Self –motivated; Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience is beneficial/preferred but not necessary.
