Their Realty Advisory is located in Iowa, where approximately 3600 individuals are employed. It is here where PARENT COMPANY’S USA office is headquartered.

Dept/Division Information

This position will be with the CLIENT’S Asset Management, the organization which oversees asset management for many of CLIENT’S USA operating companies as well as third party clients. Asset classes include public bonds, private placements, commercial mortgage loans, derivatives and alternative investments. Significant funds are invested in nearly every fixed income and real estate sector. The CLIENT Asset Management organization has operations in Europe, the United States and Asia. Primary offices in the United States are located in Iowa and Kentucky.

Responsibilities
|
|
The Real Estate Risk Manager is responsible for understanding and evaluating all forms of property and liability risk faced by CLIENT's Real Estate department. In this role, this individual will be responsible for determining insurability of risks and the strategy for retaining, diversifying or transferring those risks. Working in conjunction with the Corporate Risk management department, and the Global Risk Manager, the incumbent will analyze information and advise management on appropriate decisions to be implemented. The Risk Manager will stay informed of emerging technical issues and current business and economic developments to coordinate and finalize all liability and property claims involving Investment Division locations, investment properties and foreclosed real estate. This individual will have a working understanding of real estate and commercial mortgage lending activities as they relate to risk management. In this role, the Risk Manager will also advise on insurance issues in reference to leases, surety bonds, construction activities, vendor and professional services contracts, environmental insurance, etc.

Qualifications
|
|
The candidate should be technologically resourceful with some exposure to database systems. This individual may be required to make written and oral presentations to third-party investors. Strong presentation skills are required. The qualified candidate will have a JD degree and 1+ years experience (real estate experience highly preferred). Candidates with related certifications or professional designations will be acceptable as well.
