POSITION: Assistant Project Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in managing construction related projects. The Project Engineer will assist in the preparation of budgets, project plans, scopes of work and schedules for construction, source, negotiate, engage and supervise contractor relationships, prepare bids and manage bid process, as well as execute on project plans. The Project Engineer will also assist the development team in completing property surveys and feasibility studies and other aspects of the development effort. Project Engineer should have strong attention to detail and follow through, be able to work independently, be a self-starter, and have strong oral and written communication skills. Other functions include:
- Monitor projects and report to management on contract performance. - Facilitate processing of RFI’s, submittals and samples through general contractor, owner and owner’s consultant ensuring that all responses are executed in accordance with established project parameters. - Estimating, subcontract award, scheduling, billings and positive communication with owners - Provide updates, status and completion, to management on all activities. - Track and update change orders - Update project schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 2 years relevant experience. Degreed candidate (B.A./B.S.) required. Candidates should have solid communication and computer skills Background check and drug screen will be applied
SALARY: Based on experience.
