Our client, a leader in transportation engineering for 125 years is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to support our California offices and work with the California Business Manager and West Geography Business Development (BD) Manager in the development of a marketing program and generation of marketing deliverables that ensures maximum exposure to new and existing business prospects. This position will assist the local business executives in managing the marketing department, develop an expert knowledge of the programs strategic goals, key staff, significant projects and target audiences in the area and using that knowledge, maintain an emphasis on developing proactive systems and materials to facilitate more efficient marketing efforts in the field and support of the area and coordinate with regional and national services. In addition, you will provide standardized printed marketing and presentation materials, resumes and project data, including histories and photographs, maintaining all corporate standards. This position can be located in San Francisco, Orange, or Los Angeles.
Specific Job Responsibilities
- Works with CA Business Manager/West Geography BD Manager in the development of annual and long-term strategic planning in coordination with regional efforts
- Manages and oversees the provision of material for proposals and qualifications submittals, strategic planning processes within the department/area, communications, tracking completion of plans
- Coordinates with national training coordinator for training needs in department/area and input on additional needs
- Allocates staff necessary to coordinate and complete all or any part of proposals and presentation documents and assists the local coordinators in resolving workload issues by facilitating marketing coordinator work sharing in the offices
- Responsible for the efficient operation of SoCal proposal center including graphic design support
- Ensures the schedules in proposal submissions are met and that various aspects of the proposals (technical scope, staff qualification and experience, biographical data, government forms, contract terms and conditions) are properly presented in a timely fashion
- Oversees the accurate reporting of monthly marketing results.
- Works with Area Managers to develop, lead and monitor marketing programs, marketing strategies, budgets and costs, goals and actions in cooperation with local, area, and regional managers.
- Assists Area Managers in assessing the needs of marketing in the area and implement processes and programs to support these needs
- Participates in client development, project pursuits, staff development, and quality assurance to achieve local goals and objectives
- Monitors accuracy of booking information, marketing budgets and costs and ensure marketing information system and reports are updated and accurate
- Oversees staff recruiting, direction, performance evaluation, training and recognition.
- Assists in community, project and client support efforts.

| Requirements: |
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field and at least 15 years experience in a marketing and proposal environment in the AEC industry with specific experience in market support and communications services for the consulting industry. Excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills are critical and well as experience in development and management of diverse teams in addition to the ability to work cooperatively with marketing manager/area marketing manager, operations managers and technical directors with a commitment to quality, improvement, and PB's values. The ability to travel is also required.
