At first twitter was an interesting idea to spread topics quickly through usage of small sentences and free marketing. It gave global recognition to suppressed regions of the world where the government runs the media and the people have no voice, such as the Arab Spring. This was the platform’s golden era.

But the bird, from where I sit, has lost it’s song. In our country the media now runs the government and places like twitter and facebook have grown well past their usefulness. I’m sure there are some good uses for twitter still in play but by and large the commenting voices screaming off this platform to the public ear are un-checked hate, racial and sexual division,  exploitation, negativity and brain washing stories. GES wants nothing to do with it. The only way to stop these out of control social media giants is to stop using them. So good bye twitter, for a time we appreciated your song, we hope you find a higher purpose.
