Conroe thought they needed a magnet for travel and tourism, all the way back to 2015. That’s when the city council okayed roughly $80 million to build a new convention center, anchored by a Hyatt Regency. Since then, it’s gone up to $108 million. On May 25, the hotel will finally be able to welcome guests to the new 250-room hotel..
Hyatt’s Roberto Intriago added, “Conroe is a key business and leisure destination, and Hyatt Regency Conroe will add an important new premium full-service option for travelers visiting the Texas Piney Woods in historic east Texas. ”
Hyatt Regency Conroe will include 13 suites and 11 accessible rooms, with complimentary Wi-Fi, modern bath amenities like Smart Mirror featuring ideal lighting and 65″ flat screen televisions with streaming capabilities. The hotel will offer a number of dining options as well as 30,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center and a pool.
