Construction begins in July on a $70 million bottling plant that will create 70 jobs. Niagara Bottling 1.2 million-square foot industrial project will be on 70 acres at 1535 E. Belt Line Rd., south of I-20.
The Diamond Bar, California-based bottled water manufacturer announced that it would invest approximately $70 million in the facility at 1535 East Belt Line Road. New details about the development say the $13 million building will open in early 2024. That cost figure doesn’t include equipment.
Austin architect Merriman Pitt Anderson is designing the addition to the plant. It includes a two-story office space, lab room with upstairs utility area, and processing support rooms.
Niagara Bottling will receive at least $2.5 million in tax rebates for the project.
When completed, the new facility will bottle private-label brands for retailers including Walmart and Costco. The building can be added onto for future lines, which are projected to bring in $180 million.
