What was once a 7,000-acre cattle operation founded in the mid-1800s could soon be the site of a $400 million project, which will expand the high-end Clearfork mixed-use development along Chisholm Trail Parkway. This spot is projected to double in size as the new home to Autobahn, Fort Worth’s luxury car dealerships, with the addition of more offices, retail, and apartments.
The developer for this expansion, Cassco Land Co., is asking the city to incentivize the deal, which would mean Autobahn’s dealerships would relocate from White Settlement Road to the new area being developed. The City Council is considering up to $22 million in tax incentives for the company behind the development.
Ft. Worth Magazine reports that proposed incentives would be used to help assist with the cost of building vehicle service centers and showrooms based around a parking garage. If incentivized, Cassco Land Co. must also develop a 1,750-space parking garage and 350 new apartment units.
