Hoffman Construction Company, one of the largest general contractors headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, is planning to move its headquarters to Lake Oswego, leaving the firm’s downtown office.
Hoffman currently operates at Fox Tower, a 27-story skyscraper in downtown Portland, and the company had told its employees intended to leave the tower when its lease expires in 2025. Per the Portland Business Journal, Hoffman’s new office location was revealed in the fourth quarter office market report from CBRE, showing the construction company had signed a large lease for 45,304 square feet inside Kruse Oaks III, an office space at 5500 Meadows Road in Lake Oswego.
Hoffman has worked on several large projects in Portland including Daimler Trucks’s new North American headquarters, the 30‑story Park Avenue West mixed‑use tower and The Vera, a 13-story affordable housing high-rise. CBRE data showed the vacancy rate in downtown Portland at 29.7% in the fourth quarter of 2023, as downtowns continue to experience an outflow of employers.
