Our client is an affiliate of a vertically integrated real estate company based in New York City, which owns over 160 properties worth a combined $4.5bn in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and LA. OUR CLIENT mission is to end the housing affordability crisis by delivering apartments that are affordable to the middle-class or workforce segment, with rents that range from $1,200 to $2,500. The goal is to develop 10,000 units within the next 5 years, and the company is currently developing 540 units. OUR CLIENT is a fast moving, rapidly growing, capitalized company and the employee is expected to feed this growth by finding development sites.
The employee in this position will be providing leadership to the acquisitions team at USH. Expanding the team’s acquisition bandwidth will be dependent on this individual’s ability to source new sites, negotiate with owners and participate in due diligence process. Expect to be on the phone with owners and brokers, and getting to know every single site within target areas. Expert understanding of RE transactional terms and concepts is a must. Must be highly organized and systematic thinker.
