Our client is a real estate development firm specializing in large estate homes and luxury condominium developments. The firm, founded in 2004, invests in luxury residential markets throughout the western US.  They currently have projects in Lake Tahoe, Aspen and Sun Valley, with previous projects in the San Francisco Bay Area.  On each project, they work with the finest architects, designers, contractors, and craftsmen in the region to create uniquely beautiful homes.

The markets in which they development these amazing projects are easily the hottest and most expensive in the country. With the most luxurious skin-in ski-out homes in high demand in resort communities like Aspen-Snowmass and more secluded resorts that offer the smaller resort experience to those that want to get far away from the large crowds, like Ernest Hemingway’s love for Sun Valley.

With the immense popularity of their single-family and condominium projects in these areas our client’s pipeline has exploded and the need for an established high-end resort experienced Vice President of Development is urgently needed. We prefer this person locate or be located in Sun Valley, ID. This would suit the client the best so this is our primary location. We will consider other locations so long as they are within the client’s desired development areas. This position will not be telecommuted.

The Vice President of Luxury Development will be responsible for managing multiple real estate development projects through their lifecycle.  This includes financial analysis, due diligence, design, planning, permitting and construction. The role requires managing the day-to-day work of the project team, including Development Managers, architects, project consultants and contractors. The Vice President of Luxury Development will need to work closely with the relevant government agencies to secure approvals and permits. The role requires close management of projects under construction to ensure the project is on budget and on schedule while at the same time ensuring that quality and design objectives are met.  All aspects of the development lifecycle for each project including financial analysis, entitlements, design and planning, permitting, contractor selection, and construction management will fall under this role. These homes are built in extremely technical terraine and are more on the level of commercial technical construction than a masterplan community development.
