The Westin Downtown Houston Hotel unveiled its multimillion-dollar renovations. The hotel, one of Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta’s hospitality properties, has been working on the renovations since September of last year.
The building’s renovations included refurbishing the lobby area and all 200 guest rooms, and adding a cafe and bar called the Ballpark Café and the Ballpark Bar. The hotel was previously called the Inn at the Ball Park. More than a decade ago, Fertitta’s Landry’s Inc. signed a licensing agreement with Starwood Hotels and Resorts to make it the Westin Houston Downtown.
As a part of the renovation, guest rooms were outfitted with new amenities such as motion-sensor night lights and 55-inch televisions. The lobby features a separate entertainment area from the lounge, and the hotel’s fitness room was upgraded with new equipment.
The Westin Houston Downtown is adjacent to Daikin Park and is blocks away from the George R. Brown Convention Center.
