Sunlit, a Taiwan-based chemical supplier, acquired about 40 acres for $9.2 million near a rail line in Casa Grande.
The Phoenix Business Journal reports Sunlit plans to build a hydrofluoric acid manufacturing plant on the newly acquired land that will support TSMC and Intel’s semiconductor operations in the Valley. Sunlit currently operates a facility in Deer Valley which opened in 2024 (photo).
Sunlit is one of several global chemical manufacturers to make moves recently in Casa Grande, which is about a 40-minute drive south of Phoenix. The industrial area where Sunlit acquired land alongside other chemical-related firms is on the Union Pacific main line, which connects to the recently expanded Casa Grande Yard. Some other chemical manufacturing plant projects are further along in Casa Grande. That includes Chang Chung Arizona’s new $300 million facilityfor electronic-grade chemicals for semiconductors. The first phase of that project totals 109,346 square feet.
In October, a Brazilian firm, Chlorum, announced plans to build a $70 million chemical plant in Casa Grande.
