Cawley Partners and Alamo Manhattan purchased 2909 Cole Ave., a three-story office tower. The new owners plan to convert it into a 140-room hotel. Alamo built the Marriott Dallas Uptown hotel on Fairmount Street.
The Dallas Business Journal reports that the two firms purchased the building from Aberfeldy Properties Inc. Located between the Turtle Creek and Uptown neighborhoods, the building spans approximately 27,000 square feet and was constructed in 1981. It is currently about 73% leased. The building itself is also steps away from Uptown’s latest office and retail complex, The Quad.
This isn’t their first partnership together — Cawley partnered with Alamo to buy the 3400 Carlisle office building in Uptown Dallas in 2025.
Alamo Manhattan Cos. has had a longtime interest in the Uptown market, having pitched plans to convert 3400 Carlisle St. into a residential high-rise featuring 400 apartments last May. The 1.5-acre site is currently home to a partially occupied office tower. Alamo’s portfolio includes the Marriott Uptown, Monaco on the Trail and Fairmount Tower.
