Concordia University Irvine has expanded its Nursing program with the $43 million purchase of a 114,000-square-foot office building in the Spectrum District of Irvine, CA. The 6.6-acre site features a three-story freestanding building that was formerly the primary campus of the University of Massachusetts Global nursing program.

According to Foundry Commercial, which represented Concordia, the transaction is the largest office deal in Orange County in Q1 2023, and the fifth largest in the last 18 months. “The fact that the previous university had already built the infrastructure to quickly ramp up the next cohorts in our nursing program certainly made this property very attractive to us,” said Concordia University Irvine’s Steve Strauch.

Located adjacent to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and Hoag Hospital, the Laguna Canyon Road facility will house Concordia University Irvine’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science Nursing Program on the 2nd floor. Concordia will temporarily lease back the third floor to University of Massachusetts Global.
