The producers of Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival have unveiled plans for Cannonball Arts, a new music and arts venue in downtown Seattle.

New Rising Sun partnered with the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe to transform the space at 1930 3rd Avenue, formerly a Bed Bath & Beyond location, into a 66,000-square-foot venue. Cannonball Arts is anticipated to open in the spring of 2025, serving as a brand-new downtown venue to host a variety of music and visual arts performances.

The new venue spans over two city blocks on Third and Fourth Avenues and will eventually offer two stories of contemporary and performing arts space. New Rising Sun worked with the owners of the building, Clise Properties, to secure a five-year lease. “New Rising Sun and its award-winning production team will bring a unique energy and vitality to this area of the downtown core,” said Lori Hill, Executive Vice President of Leasing at Clise Properties.
