Mixed-use development powerhouse Trademark Property Company is planning another Fort Worth project: a seven-story apartment complex beside the Trinity River near its Westbend development. Trademark has had the 3.5-acre site for eight years.

Westbend South will be over 500,000 square feet and cost $36 million to build. It will include two lounges, a fitness center and retail space. Merriman Anderson Architects Inc. is slated to design the project.

Construction is expected to begin Sept. 30 and wrap up by the end of 2026.

Founded over 30 years ago, Trademark has invested $4.5 billion and developed or redeveloped 21 million square feet of commercial mixed-use projects.

The Westbend development is a 281,000-square-foot mixed-use development, with 190,000 square feet of office and 90,000 square feet of retail space. Trademark is soon to start work on the redevelopment of Lincoln Square in Arlington as a mixed-use development.
