Jack Resnick & Sons has finalized a lease renewal with the Writers Guild of America East Inc. (WGAE) at its 250 Hudson Street office tower in Lower Manhattan. The 16,749-square-foot, 16-year lease renewal solidifies WGAE’s presence at the building, where it has been located since 2010.

WGAE, representing over 7,400 members in various media sectors, negotiates contracts and advocates for the rights of writers. Cushman & Wakefield represented WGAE in the transaction. “Fifteen years ago, we saw the potential for Hudson Square to become a hub for New York’s most innovative and creative companies,” said Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons. “The Writers Guild of America East was among the first of those tenants to sign on at 250 Hudson.”

250 Hudson Street, part of Resnick’s redevelopment efforts, was redeveloped in 2009 and has achieved LEED Gold, WiredScore, and Energy Star certifications. Resnick’s redevelopment success extends to 315 Hudson Street, leased primarily to Google, which has integrated the property into its Hudson Square campus.
