Vestar received a final okay to move ahead with the $125 million Verrado Marketplace in Buckeye. The largest shopping center developed by Vestar since the 2000s, the retail center will be anchored by Target, Safeway and Harkins BackLot

Buckeye’s planning commission approved the 55-acre site plan for the 520,000-square-foot power center at the northeast corner of Verrado Way and Interstate 10.

In addition to the three anchor tenants, Vestar has recently inked some restaurants and stores that have committed to the project, including Marshalls, Ross and HomeGoods.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports that construction is expected to start this fall, with a grand opening slated for 2026.

As part of its site plan approvals, confirmed tenants include Target, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Buckle, Ulta and The Yard. Verrado Marketplace is one of two major power centers built in the Valley in the past decade following Scottsdale-based SimonCRE’s new Village at Prasada and Prasada North in Surprise.
